A few notes from Molly's Mum!
We offer a home boarding environment where your dog will be staying with us in our home as part of the family. We are not kennels, rather a pet friendly doggie hotel offering home from home dog boarding and dog day care.
I have looked after animals all my life and had dog walking jobs and dog sitting jobs. I am an avid animal lover so your pooch will be loved and treated as my own during his or her stay.
We can not have any unneutered males, bitches in season (or due to be in season during their stay). Puppy day care is available for puppies over 6 months old as a guideline.
All holiday guests will be invited to come and meet us first to see that they fit in and are happy in our home. We can also discuss drop off and pick up times at this point and a 50% non-refundable deposit is payable at this time to confirm your dog's holiday place.
We strongly advise a trial overnight stay at Molly's particularly if your dog is not used to being away from home or in a home boarding environment. Trial stays are charged at £30 per dog for one night regardless of drop off or collection time (usual rate £40 for an overnight stay unless collecting before 10am). Trial night rate will be reduced to £20 if your dog is collected before 10am.
Please no dogs that are incontinent or display any anti social/aggressive or destructive behaviours. Doggy guests should be socialised, house trained and of good temperament.
Vaccinations - all dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations and also have been wormed and treated for fleas.
An up to date vaccination card must be kept with your dog throughout the duration of their stay.
Dog breeds - no dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 will be accepted for home boarding. Dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976 (e.g. Wolf Hybrids) will not be accepted for home boarding.
What to bring - just their food (with your measure if possible), collar and vaccination card. Please also bring any medication or Dentastix if appropriate. Clean and comfy bedding and bowls are provided along with lots of things to play with and plenty of leads for those nice walks!
Rates and mode of paying for pet services
Holiday stays £20 per dog per day, this includes the day of arrival regardless of time. Please note there is no charge if a dog is collected before 10.30am for that day on your return home. After that time another day rate will be applied. Please see below regarding Bank Holiday rates. Day boarding £15. per dog per day, collection by 6.30pm please. After this time another day rate will be applied. No day boarding on Bank Holidays - overnight stays only please see below.
Should you be delayed in collecting your dog(s) the overstayers rate of £50.00 per dog per day will be applied.
This is because, like any business, I need to be full of doggy boarders to remain profitable. When your dogs overstay and I have other dogs booked, I have to subcontract out the boarding of my own dogs into either kennels or another doggy care business, so I incur costs and travel expenses. We're limited to the number of dogs we can hold without risking my licence.
Bank Holidays - double rate will be applied on Bank Holidays i.e. £40 per day, with no drop off on a Bank Holiday (your dog must be delivered to Molly’s before).
I accept cash, cheques and payment by BACS and PayPal. (No credit cards)
PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO YOUR DOG'S INITIAL MEETING OR WHEN DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP. WE ARE NOT ALLOWED CHILDREN ON THE PREMISES WHEN WE HAVE GUEST DOGS STAYING.
Damage - if your dog causes damage we will expect you to reimburse us. If your dog is aggressive, uncontrollable or shows negative behaviour towards us or other guest dogs we will have no choice but to place your dog at a local kennels. Any issues will be discussed with you and we will notify you of any actions taken. The cost of kennels would need to be reimbursed by yourselves.
